Day 4 - Carrera Espana

Just finished the day that included two Speed Stages (we did well on both) and Three Regularity Stages….first we were off 3 seconds (not good); second we did perfect (and it was the hardest of the three); third we were off by 4 seconds (poor).

Results will be posted later tonight and we’ll see if we make any advancement….not likely with the two poor Regularity scores, but hope springs eternal.

We had rain in the morning, like yesterday, but stayed pretty dry in the afternoon, but it was overcast. The countryside was beautiful; mostly agricultural villages. Morning coffee stop was in a 17th Century hotel that has been very well- preserved. The meals we are served are gigantic. At lunch today each of us received a leg of lamb that could have fed a family of four. The big meal of the day here in Spain is lunch….and it is very big.

Tonight we’re staying in Segovia, a beautiful medieval town with lots of Roman buildings. The main church, the aqueduct, and the main castle are awe-inspiring and well cared for. I will try to send some pictures later to go with this blog.
