One last note about yesterday. Brant and I had dinner at Salamanca, a very good fish restaurant down in the harbor. It was a short 10 minute cab ride from our hotel and the food and service were wonderful.
This morning, Barcelona was bathed in bright sunlight as we rolled out our vehicles for technical inspection (scrutineering in the language car rallies). Our baby passed without any problems.
We then went through the process of signing-on; receiving our Route Books, Maps, Time Cards and Speed Tables. All pretty routine and familiar.
We ran a short 5 kilometer course to calibrate our distance measuring equipment.
Tonight we’ll have a welcoming party, including drinks and dinner…..and the first car will be out tomorrow at 8:30am.
A quick look at the Route Book reveals that tomorrow’s drive will 409 kilometers with two speed contests and three Regularity Stages. It will be a busy day.
